What’s New
Version 2.0.1 ·
Unfold another side of your music. Time Player now brings a complete outer and inner display experience to iPhone Duo. Made for iPhone Duo • Keep your cassette player on the outer display, then unfold to reveal a companion view that matches your theme. • Serene reveals a moving drive mechanism. Time 1988 adds glowing tubes, responsive VU meters and a clock. Classic opens a poetry page. Jimboy shows lyrics or a tape timeline. • Refined theme layouts, settings, file pickers and transitions when folding, unfolding or changing themes. Make a tape of your own • New tapes hold up to eight tracks per side, sixteen in total. Existing tapes keep their tracks. • Drag and pinch your cover image, or use the zoom slider and buttons for finer control. Preview the crop before confirming. • Refined cassette labels and an iPhone portrait editor that shows all sixteen track slots together. A little more to listen with • Poetry follows the current track. Original poems can be generated where Apple Intelligence is available; built-in verse and manual editing remain available otherwise. • Tapes with lyrics can display them in Jimboy's companion view. Tapes without lyrics show the timeline. - The tape shelf remembers where you left off again: close it, open it, and the same tape is waiting in the middle. - While making a tape, tap "Side A" or "Side B" to preview that side's track list on the cover. On iPhone Duo, folding or unfolding no longer jumps back to Side A. - Fixed the shelf showing a different tape from the one selected when returning from the tape maker.

MAKE YOUR OWN TAPES Import audio from Files, name your tape, add a creator and arrange the tracks. New tapes hold up to eight tracks per side, sixteen in total. Drag and pinch your cover image, or use the zoom slider for finer adjustments, with a preview before you confirm. Supports MP3, M4A/AAC, WAV, AIFF, CAF and FLAC. BRING BACK THE RITUAL Play, stop, fast-forward, rewind and flip sides, with adjustable tape hiss and button haptics. Each tape remembers where you stopped. Swap it out, come back later and pick up where you left off. Keep, back up or share the .tctape files you create using the system share tools. FOUR LOOKS, FOUR MOODS Choose Serene, Time 1988, Classic or Jimboy. Each has its own body, keys, knobs and switches. On a standard iPhone, each theme uses its intended landscape or portrait layout. You can also install custom .tctheme packages. MORE TO UNFOLD ON IPHONE DUO Use your cassette player on the outer display, then unfold to discover its companion view: • Serene: a motor, belt and drive wheels that respond to playback. • Time 1988: glowing vacuum tubes, VU meters that follow the audio, and a clock. • Classic: a poetry page that accompanies the current track. • Jimboy: lyrics when your tape includes them, or a timeline of the tape. A LITTLE POETRY WITH YOUR MUSIC On supported devices, systems, languages and regions, Classic can use Apple Intelligence to write an original short poem inspired by the song information. Built-in verse and manual editing are available when generation is unavailable. Generation and network requirements depend on the availability of Apple's intelligence services. LOCAL MUSIC, QUIET LISTENING No account, sign-in, ads, subscriptions or in-app purchases. Imported tapes play offline.
