How it uses iPhone Duo
In the version 1.3.8 release notes (October 21, 2026) the developer states that the game works with iPhone Duo, and the App Store description explains how. With the device folded partway, the hand you are drawing from stands on the upper half (the AI's cards on your turn, your own on its turn), while the table and the other hand lie flat on the lower half. Opened flat, the game fills the whole screen. We have not yet tested Old Maid on an iPhone Duo.

About this app
Old Maid: Classic Card Game is a one-on-one version of the familiar matching game, played against an AI opponent. It comes from independent developer Haruhiko Kishi. The rules are the traditional ones: on your turn you draw a face-down card from your opponent's hand, discard any pairs you make, and the player left holding the Joker at the end loses. When it is the AI's turn, your hand is shown face up so you can watch which card it picks. The game is played with the device held sideways, matched pairs are tossed onto the table, and wins and losses get their own animations and crowd reactions. Every card back features Moko, a Pomeranian in a polka-dot bow tie, which gives the game a light, friendly look. Because the rules take a minute to learn, it suits casual players, families and anyone who wants a quick game without opponents online. The app runs on iPhone, iPad and Mac, requires no account and is free to download. On iPhone Duo, the developer has added a layout for playing with the device partly folded.
App Store descriptionWritten by the developer.
The classic card game, one-on-one against the AI. Old Maid is simple: draw a card from your opponent's hand, throw down any pair you make, and whoever is left holding the Joker loses. You learn it in a minute, and it's hard to stop. YOUR TURN, THEIR TURN Hold your device sideways. On your turn, the AI's cards are laid out face down. Pick one, and hope it isn't the Joker. On the AI's turn, your own hand turns face up, and you watch it choose. Try not to flinch. PAIRS FLY Match two cards and they're tossed onto the table. Win and the screen bursts into fireworks. Lose and the crowd lets you hear about it. MOKO ON EVERY CARD Every card back carries Moko, a fluffy Pomeranian in a polka-dot bow tie. FOLD AND PLAY On iPhone Duo, fold it partway: the hand you draw from stands on the upper half (the AI's cards on your turn, yours on its turn), and the table with the other hand lies flat on the lower half, like a real game at a real table. Open it flat and the game fills the whole screen. Plays on iPhone, iPad and Mac. No account, nothing to sign up for.
