About this app

PCalc from TLA Systems is a long-standing scientific calculator for iPhone, aimed at scientists, engineers, students, programmers and anyone who needs more than the built-in Calculator. It offers an optional RPN mode, a multi-line display and a choice of button layouts, along with an extensive library of unit conversions and constants. A paper tape keeps a record of calculations, and multiple levels of undo and redo are available. It handles engineering and scientific notation and can work in hexadecimal, octal and binary, which is useful for programming tasks. An Apple Watch app is included for calculations on the wrist. PCalc is a paid app, with additional extras available as in-app purchases. Version 3.15, released on October 19, 2026, adds support for iOS 27, iPadOS 27 and watchOS 27, and the release notes state that it adds support for iPhone Duo and other new devices. The same update introduces an optional grid view for conversions, functions and constants, a new Data Rate conversion section, right-to-left evaluation of powers, operator precedence that follows mathematical convention more closely, and a range of bug fixes.
