About this app

Reeder is Silvio Rizzi's reading app, rebuilt around a single timeline rather than unread counts. It pulls RSS feeds together with videos, podcasts and posts from social networks, so everything you follow appears in one scrolling view, and your position in that timeline is kept in step across your devices through iCloud. Rather than trying to replace dedicated clients, Reeder gives you a central place to keep up and can hand items off to other apps when you want to go deeper. You can build custom timelines with filters based on keywords, media type or feed type, and save links from Safari or other apps through the share extension into Links, Favorites, Bookmarks and Later collections. Tags can also be published as shared feeds in JSON Feed format, readable in a browser or another feed reader. Content is fetched directly from its sources, and only subscriptions, timeline position and tagged items are synced. Recent updates added a per-feed option to exclude Shorts from YouTube feeds and a vertical bar in landscape on all iPhones. The app is free to download with in-app purchases. Version 2026.11, released on October 22, 2026, is the first to mention iPhone Duo, describing it as initial support.

Unified Timeline Reeder supports more than just RSS feeds. It integrates videos, podcasts and social media posts into a single, streamlined view. Filters Create custom timelines with filters based on keywords, media types or feed types. Save and Organize Links Easily save links from Safari or any other app to Reeder using its share extension, keeping everything organized and easy to find. iCloud Sync Reeder only syncs what’s important — your subscriptions, timeline position and tagged items (including Links, Favorites, Bookmarks and Later) — across all your devices using iCloud, making syncing faster and more efficient, with changes pushed to your other devices within seconds.
